Felty and Ana Helmut are helping out their granddaughter who lost her husband a year ago in a car accident. She had moved to Nappanee, Indiana right after her wedding. She stayed for a year after his death to help her moth-in-law who had cancer. None of her own d a daughters helped her. She was trying to. Her grandparents tried to get her interested in Yoder. She had a bad marriage and lumped all single men in the same way as her husband treated her.
I love ALL the Huckleberry Hill books! Maami and Dawdi are the kind of grandparents I always wished I'd had. The humorous back and forth between Beth and Tyler had me smiling and laughing through out the entire story....right up to the end. A good measure of happiness, sorrow, fear, family, friends, and learning to rely on God to see them through it all. I heartedly recommend reading this wonderful book and if you have not read the other books in this series, please do.
I enjoy reading this author's books and loved the returning characters of Anna and Felty. My favorite line was in the beginning when Anna said she was only 82--not an old lady.

Like another reviewer, I was upset when Beth went back to her mother-in-law and brother-in-law, but I see that she had to do that to find her way to Tyler. I loved Tyler and Beth. There were some funny scenes when Beth tried to find Tyler a suitable bride. All the while she was the one for him.

I liked this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Anna Helmuth is up to her matchmaking again. Dragging Felty right along with her. Oh how I love Anna and her antics at matchmaking.This is the best book yet by Jennifer! What a wonderful delight that it is to read this Christmas book. Lot of laughter and cheering your favorite characters along in this book. This story deals with forgiveness and letting go of the past. Taking the next step in life. This story was so well written that I didn’t want to put it down. I am looking forward to any future books that have Anna and Felty in them.

Well written. Had the main character hold out for true love until there was no doubt. The theme within the main love story getting over your own fears and figure out how to help others think beyond themselves
I adore this whole series of books. They are clean, sweet, lighthearted and entertaining. Not being Amish, I cannot attest to accuracy of lifestyle, but this seems to be a fairly progressive community. The characters are well developed and realistically flawed. Love that Annie Banannie! What a joy to find safe positive enjoyable reading material. Thank you my friend Jessica for the recommendation.
I truly enjoyed this book. There were several places I truly laughed out loud. A story of a young woman who
didn't want to ever remarry. She had been through enough verbal abuse from her and his family. But she had a wonderful grandmother who wanted her to be happy. She didn't trust God because she thought He had abandoned her
because of her husband's treatment. She learned what a wise grandmother she had, and she could really trust her
heavenly Father. She had many interested in marrying her, one who truly loved her. I highly recommend this book!
